Best The King of Queens Episodes Ever

Another great sitcom that has brought us many hysterical episodes. To me ten The King of Queens episodes with Doug Heffernan stand out:

10. Prints Charming (Season 5)

Doug and Carrie Heffernan want to pick up pictures in a drugstore and accidently get the Ones of another couple. Unfortunately they have a much more active and positive approach to life. So once again Carrie wants to change something and books diving lessons for her and hubby. Confortable Doug is of course not excited about this and in return demands to copy other stuff from the photographs, too…like waffle sex. Meanwhile Arthur gets himself a mobile and is reachable under 555-Logs. Will someone dial this number?

9. Walk, Man (Season 4)

Arthur (one of the best sitcom characters ever) can be a big obstacle when you are planning to make a baby, since he constantly needs attention by Doug and Carrie. Finally the King of Queens has the solution: Hire a dog-sitter that takes Arthur for a walk regularly…pretty obvious I´d say. Unfortunately the arrangement doesn´t work out like Doug had expected, Carrie seems to enjoy other stuff more than babymaking with Doug…

8. Queasy Rider (Season 2)

Doug Heffernan wants to show that he is the man, when he purchases a motorcycle without Carries approval. Well, he is about to learn who is wearing the breeches in their relationship. After this classic one of The King of Queens episodes I saw Carrie Heffernan in a differnet light.

7. Roamin` Holiday (Season 2)

Dark clouds are gathering over the Heffernan household when Carrie announces that an old friend of hers and the most boring husband ever will stay over for thanksgiving weekend. Shocked Dougie desperately tries to find a way out and finally convinces Spence to move out of his mothers place and look for an appartment. As long as the search goes on he could of course live under the Heffernans roof. That should keep the Boringtons away, shouldn´t it?

6. Better Camera (Season 3)

Classic King of Queens Christmas episode featuring Doug Heffernan, who finally finds a really good present for his wife Carrie. At least until her boss surprises the staff with better cameras at the office Christmas party. This episode introduces Lou Ferrigno -The Incredible Hulk himself- as new neighbour, who immidiately is ambushed by Arthur with a screenplay.

Great one of The King of Queens episodes that is worth watching alone for Dougs face when he mimes his present and Carrie immidiately solves the riddle…

5. Swim Neighbours (Season 3)

After a devastating storm there is no longer a fence to seperate the Heffernans property from their annoying neighbours. While they are planning to combine the two lots, Carrie single-handedly raises a new fence quicker than Lucky Luke drews his colt and deeply offends her neighbours. A feud is on the rise when in return they erect a very high-lying swimming pool. While Carrie makes it a law suit, Doug takes a swim…

4. Paint Misbehavin´ (Season 3)

Spence is worried to loose his spot in the gang to Danny, Richie doesn´t look forward to see Dougs sister again and Doug himself is jealous of Deacon when he learns that Carrie finds him attractive. Kelly doesn´t like that either. Hilarious paintball episode where lots of tension in the group blows up in a classic final fight.

3. Hi-Def Jam (Season 3)

When Doug Heffernan sees a TV screen with high definition on one of his delivery tours, there is no way back. He cannot look at his own average TV anymore and desperately wants a modern one for the upcoming Super Bowl. Unfortunately he cannot afford to buy one and several strategies to get one temporarily fail. His last chance is to set up his sister with Doug Pruzan, Carries boss, who owns a hi-def console.

2. King Pong (Season 6)

Instead of milk Arthur brings home a table tennis table. Doug is angry just a few minutes, than he becomes addicted to table tennis. But when he has to suffer a horrible defeat against Carrie he needs to improve drastically to protect his manhood. He hires Arthur to train him. Will it help to defeat Carrie or will Doug be forced to hire Mr. Miyagi?

1. Strike Out (Season 3)

Doug and Deacon are still out of work and annoy their wifes beyond imagination. Arthur is also at home all the time and when Carrie Heffernan can´t take it anymore she decides to unite the three of them, so they could spend the day together and do something use- or meaningful. They start off with a hilarious childrens game and when they set off to the City, the coolest crew ever is unstoppable. No doubt…Doug, Deacon and Arthur combined, painting the town red is unmatched and clearly the best of the best The King of Queens episodes ever!

  1. One of the best episodes for me is Inn Escapable from Season 8 Episode 7.
Doug takes Carrie to a bed and breakfast that’s full of cats and the owners won’t let Doug go because he looks so much like their deceased son. Carries can’t take the cats anymore and runs away to the modern hotel. I’d never laughed so hard. This is my favorite episode. My belly hurt, I was laugh crying by the end of it!

    • Hi Emma, I like that episode, too. It closely missed my Top Ten King of Queens episodes 😉 I especially love how they try to escape and Carrie leaves Doug behind, later dancing in a club. Arthur`s storyline wasn`t that good, though.

  2. ok its great that you listed these great episodes but it is ridiculous that you did’t’ take the time to post WHAT SEASON THEY ARE FROM So annoying. Best to you.

    • Thank you for pointing this out. I just added the season of each episode. Doing so I couldn`t help but notice that season 3 is easily dominating my ranking with 5 highlight episodes in a top ten ranking. And only one episode aired after the show jumped the shark (as I suggested in my top ten ranking of the best sitcoms ever.
