15. When a man loves a woman – Michael Bolton

14. To the moon and back – Savage Garden

13. You`re still the one – Shania Twain

12. Can`t fight the moonlight – LeAnn Rimes

11. I will always love you – Whitney Houston

10. As long as you love me – Backstreet Boys

One of the top love songs, very catchy…but not even their best. Says a lot about the best boy band ever.

I don’t care who you are
Where you’re from
What you did
As long as you love me
Who you are
Where you’re from
Don’t care what you did
As long as you love me

9. I don`t wanna miss a thing – Aerosmith

The cultic rock combo with their eternal rock ballad for 1998 blockbuster Armageddon. One of the most romantic songs of all time without a doubt.

“Don’t want to close my eyes
I don’t want to fall asleep
‘Cause I’d miss you, babe
And I don’t want to miss a thing”

8. Truly Madly Deeply – Savage Garden

I can`t decide what`s more beautiful: The lyrics or the voice of lead singer Darren Hayes?

“I want to stand with you on a mountain.
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever.
Until the sky falls down on me”

7. Angels – Robbie Williams

Robbie`s break through single as a solo singer after departing from Take That. The studio had almost lost faith in him when this song rescued his career back in 1997. Won European Music Award for Best single!

“And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I’m right or wrong
And down the waterfall
Wherever it may take me
I know that life won’t break me
When I come to call, she won’t forsake me
I’m loving angels instead”

6. Ain`t got you – Kevin Michael

This is a very, very underrated one among the top love songs in my opinion. Merely made it to the Top 40 back in 2008, when it was released. Certainly not due to the quality of the song. Probably because Kevin Michael is widely unknown unfortunately. However…do yourself a favour and listen to this song a few times. There is a pretty good chance, you will be enchanted.

“See I’m all alone tonight with just a memory
And baby you’re a million miles away
I can’t take another day
If I ain’t got you, I ain’t got anything
It just don’t feel the same, no
If I ain’t got you, oh
And if I ain’t got you, I ain’t got anything
Can’t even feel the pain
No, if I ain’t got you”

5. Hungry Eyes – Eric Carmen

The soundtrack of Dirty Dancing is amazing and in my opinion this is the best song on it, even better than She`s like the wind or The time of my life. One of the best love songs ever written!

“With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I can’t disguise
I’ve got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and I”

4. Drowning – Backstreet Boys

What a beautiful ballad. The Backstreet boys released many great love songs, but the others all were very pop-music-influenced. This one is just so intense and soulful with romantic lyrics.

“Cause every time I breathe I take you in
And my heart beats again
Baby I can’t help it
You keep me drowning in your love
And every time I try to rise above
I’m swept away by love
Baby I can’t help it
You keep me drowning in your love”

3. When you say nothing at all – Ronan Keating

It was a very good idea from Ronan Keating to leave Boyzone. Otherwise we possibly never would have heard this masterpiece. One of the most romantic songs ever written. I suggest you play this while proposing…your girl will surely melt away.

“The smile on your face let me know that you need me
There’s a truth in your eyes saying you’ll never leave me
The touch of your hand says you’ll catch me wherever I fall
You say it best, when you say nothing at all”

2. Always – Bon Jovi

Clearly the most powerful and energetic romantic rock ballad ever produced. Jon Bon Jovi`s voice doesn`t hurt, either.

“And I will love you, baby, always
And I’ll be there forever and a day, always
I’ll be there ’til the stars don’t shine
‘Til the heavens burst and the words don’t rhyme
And I know when I die, you’ll be on my mind
And I’ll love you, always”

1. Jessie – Joshua Kadison

Number one of the top love songs must be Joshua Kadison with his ode to “Sex and the City”-Queen Sarah Jessica Parker. Imagine how it must feel, when the most wonderful lyrics of all time are being written especially for you.

“Jessie paint your pictures
About how it’s gonna be
By now I should know better
Your dreams are never free
But tell me all about our little trailer by the sea
Oh Jessie you can always sell any dream to me”

I hope these best love songs ever will remind you of the wonderful feeling of love. If you have other suggestions that you would consider among the most romantic songs of all times, feel free to share them.
